At Personal-Prints, our family is made up of artists and we love sharing with our customers our passion for creating pieces of art that focus on nature, beauty, and family. We began with the hope of bringing art into people’s homes that they can have a personal connection with. To do this, we created personalized name art designs that incorporates your name, initials, or a word that has a significant meaning to you. But before we create the prints in our store, our artists create paintings that inspire the creation of pieces that you decorate your home with. In today’s post, we want to share with you some of the original works that have been created by Scott Kennedy. Using a variety of mediums, including pencil, acrylic, oils, watercolor, and even sculpture, you can browse some of hispersonalized name art collection here.
Here are a few of our favorite original paintings:
Spring Bouquet
Just in time for a personalized Valentine’s Day gift, give your loved one a bouquet of spring flowers that he or she will have forever. This original watercolor is in a cool, golden frame that’s 22” x 19.5” and the image has a dark beige core mat for a secondary border. The frame and border are perfectly accented with bright yellow, purple, and blue flowers in the bouquet. Sitting just behind the bouquet is a card with a Bible verse from Song of Solomon — “Flowers appear on the earth, the season for singing has come.” To make the personalized name art painting special, Scott Kennedy will personally finish the watercolor with your names, above and below the verse.
Back at Camp
A testament to Scott’s true artistic ability, Back at Camp is an original pencil drawing with beautiful details throughout. The grey frame is 19” x 35.5” and the image is double matted and covered with UV protective glass. The rustic frame holds an image of aspen trees and a tent snuggled into the scene. Look closely and you’ll find some animal visitors, including three mule deer bucks and a chickadee surveying the scene. The quiet beauty of the pencil drawing will give any room in your home a touch of elegance. Again, to give the personalized name art a special touch, Scott can add your names to the sign hanging on the tent.
Our Family Tree
Another beautifully detailed painting, Our Family Tree represents the love of the family. The ornate framed painting is 25” x 37” and the image is separated into two — the bottom half is focusing on the roots of the tree and the top half on the limbs and leaves of the tree. From the deep purples of the leaves at the top to the entangled roots at the bottom, the painting represents the strength of family and is inspired by two Bible verses (Psalm 1:3 and Ephesians 3: 14-19). Imagine having the strength of a powerful foundation and with God’s “glorious riches,” you and your family can prosper.
Blue Birds
If you’re always looking forward to spring, this watercolor features the best of what the season brings — blossoming trees, cool, but warming air, and new life that can be found in the trees. This dark blond-colored frame is 20.5” x 20.5” and is similar in color to the dogwood tree in the image. With a pop of blue in the foreground in the head and wings of two blue birds resting on a branch and pale pinks in the background, the colors are soft and inviting. To make the original watercolor unique to you, your names can be “carved” into the bark of the tree.
Bringing together nature, family, and love, the original artworks by Scott Kennedy will make a beautiful addition to any room in your home.
